Is it but a fair face to gaze upon?
Or does true beauty escape the shallow mind...
A fleeting moment, here and gone?
An innocent smile not ravaged by time...
Can it not be the tender word of a friend?
Or is it a torturous dream of ideals...
A heart that has finally begun to mend?
A place of comfort to rest our heels...
Let beautiful be not in the eyes of the beholder,
but in the hearts of those not spoiled by sight.
Let beautiful be crying on my lovers shoulder,
and a warm kiss each and every night.
