Autumn's Arrival

Autumn trees

The crisp breezes announce
that Autumn is ready to pounce
and leap upon us with colors galore
and brace us for cooler weather in store

The air changes and anticipation sets in
little characters in your neighborhood descend
dressed in costumes and face paint too
To ask for a treat or two

As summer slips away and Autumn appears
before long it will be another New Year
But for now lets take it day by day
Never wish any season away

For Autumn is to be relished, enjoyed if you will
Before Winter moves in for the kill
Take long walks under the trees
and kiss a lover amid swirling leaves..
