What really lies behind these eyes
is a heart that is all too wise..
I dare not tread on ground so weak
I dare not tempt hearts that know not loyalty
I have no need of those things fleeting
and so no good would come of any chance meeting
I travelled a great distance once to learn
My love is worth wanting, and has already been earned..
There is no promise in your words
no temptation I can not live without
My heart dictates who I love and what I do
and when all is said and done, the one I lie with and die with
wont be you...
